About me
I hope you enjoy my cake blog. This is only a fraction of the cakes I have made. I still have many pictures I am trying to turn into digital images. Not to mention the many, many I couldn't take pictures of, because I made them at the bakery I worked at for 11 years. Making cakes is my hobbie. I began working in a bakery when I was 17. I did everything from packaging baked goods and filling tables to frying donuts, and baking rolls, breads and cookies. I learned most basic cake decorating tecnique by watching. After a while I began decorating a few simple cakes until one day when our cake decorator moved on to bigger and better things and I got her position. I worked as a full time Decorator for 7 years. I quit my job when my second child was born. and now I just do it for fun. I like to try to create new and fun things for my kids's birthdays and for other special occasions and events. And I still make the occasional wedding cake for family and friends. Some day I would like to go to pastry school and learn all the really fancy ways of baking and cake decorating. Hopefully sooner than later, cause I'm getting any younger.
