Candy Land

This cake was my sons idea. He originally wanted a Lightening Mcqueen cake for his fifth birthday. But as I was browsing for cakes one day I passed by a Candy Land cake and my son decided that was the one he wanted. Not because he loves the game, but.... well what kid wouldn't want a cake covered with candy?

Thomas the Tank Engine

Thomas was one of the most time consuming cakes I have done. Trying to get the right shape and all the details was a challenge. I am not experienced in using fondant and gum paste yet which would have given it the smooth look and a more cartoon like face. Concidering this was decorated entirely out of buttercream icing, I think it turned out pretty good.

Doll Cake

This cake was for my daughters 5th birthday, and of course was a big hit.
This cake fits a full size Barbie doll for the birthday girl to keep. I have made this cake many times before with many different colors and styles for the dress.
The Mini dolls were made as favors for the party guests to take home.
The mini doll cakes have a doll pick which does not have legs. I am in the process of trying a "Barbie Kelly" doll to see if it fits.

Princess Castle

This darling cake was for my 3 year old neice. She loved it. It comes with all six princess figurines for the little girl to keep. I can also put the castle cake on top of a sheet cake decorated with a mote and flower gardens. Very cute!
